I saw on the cast list that there's no singing part for Ellen. Do you need someone for that?

nope. we have parts open, but ellen isn’t actually a singing part. we have opportunities for everyone in the musical to sing, but not every character has a specific singing part (which is why we have the extra singing/extra speaking teams.

some people are tag teaming voice acting v. singing just because i felt like one person embodied a singing part better and a speaking part better. /shrugs.

So, the much belated art I promised saintdoriangray I’d do. It got delayed somewhat due to illness and general universe-suckitude. BUT. Art.

I wanted to try to stay true to the spirit of The Little Mermaid, so I thought I’d have a couple of goes at replicating the promotional art for that. This one is my favourite. There are others.

I didn’t do the title on it because I am lazy. I will if that’s a thing that should happen though.

Firstly, thank you to all y’all who have sent me your shit. You make me feel all warm and tingly inside because happiness and getting shit done.

the short answer is i don’t know.

the long answer is, “as of right now, the screenplay is pretty much finished in final draft form. we will be releasing the screenplay to the cast members and giving them actual due dates for scenes, so that i can edit them. we’ll be doing this scene by scene, so that while i’m editing one scene, the cast can prep for recording the next scene. after we get all the dialogue and relevant singing-tracks finished end to end, i’ll figure out a soundtrack for the whole piece. once that is finished, i’ll send the whole thing off to thepanicmoon for animation.”

this is just a quick memo to let you know that when we said that tonight’s meeting was going to be at 6pm GMT, that was because Kat (procrastinationcelebration) and I (nanananabatpig) thought we actually lived in an area which was GMT… but it’s not. It’s actually GMT+1 thanks to daylight saving times.

SO BASICALLY, the tinychat meeting will be at 5pm GMT tonight - but don’t worry if you can’t make it an hour earlier, because Kat and I will be hanging around for a while so we should get to see everyone who was going to attend
